The Collective Company

The Collective Company is the elite competitive team within Richmond Dance Collective, bringing together our most dedicated and passionate dancers. Representing excellence in performance, teamwork, and artistry, the company offers advanced training, performance opportunities, and the chance to compete at a high level.

The Collective Company welcomes dancers aged 9+, with a dedicated Pre-Company pathway for our youngest aspiring performers aged 5–8 — introducing the discipline, technique, and performance experience needed to progress into the full company.

Through commitment, creativity, and community, our dancers grow not only as performers but as confident, resilient individuals ready to shine on and off the stage.

Training & Commitment

Members of The Collective Company train regularly with RDC in both Ballet and Jazz, attending the minimum class requirement for their age to ensure a solid technical foundation for competition. Being part of the company involves additional rehearsals and a greater time commitment beyond regular classes, focused on developing discipline, skill, and confidence.

Entry is by audition only, reflecting the high standards required — but we support every dancer who wants to improve and grow. To maintain consistency and technical progress, company members train exclusively with RDC and do not compete with other schools.

Auditions

Auditions for The Collective Company are held annually; however, we do accept students throughout the year depending on class availability and timing.
